Pray for Parkland
When Life is rough, Pray. When Life is great, Pray.
Yesterday life turned very rough for many here in South Florida (USA). As students, teachers & staff at "Marjory Stoneman Douglas" High School started their day in a good way, they were not expecting how it would end.
As everyone may know already, there was an awful shooting at this high school. Many were hurt and, unfortunately, 17 people lost their lives. Many of these people that were hurt were actual students. Young people who had a very bright future ahead of them.
It's also awful how adults got hurt and lost their lives. They were somebody's parent, somebody's favorite aunt or uncle, somebody's main caregiver.
It's rough to hear the news and see everything that surrounds it. And what's even worse is that there has been more than a dozen shootings here in the USA since the year 2018 started. It's very scary!
In the following days, I will be praying for all the community in Parkland - specially those from the high school. These will be rough days where everyone has to pray. Eventually, everyone will have great days, but we still need to pray. Great days should be an ongoing thing for everyone.
Besides praying, let's talk to our love ones about this situation. Let's talk to our young ones as well. There is a lot to talk & understand. Also, let's talk to teachers, school principals, and others alike. Everyone needs to keep an eye on the signs of abuse by a child, teenager, or even adult. Once those signs are identified, please warn others in order to prevent catastrophes like yesterday's event.
May God bless everyone!
Let's all pray for Parkland and for a
change in laws & security across the country...
