International Women's Day
Tomorrow, March 8, International Women's Day is celebrated. On this date the struggle of women and their participation in society and in their internal development is celebrated and honored.
One of the first celebrations dedicated to women was on February 28, 1908 in the USA when the Day of the Socialist Woman was celebrated, which had been commemorated by the Socialist Party of USA. Then, in March 1911, the Working Women's Day was celebrated in certain European countries. Since then, many began to celebrate this day in various countries until in 1977 the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) proclaimed March 8 as International Women's Day (official website).
It is good to know about this commemorative date. It is important to have equality, respect and tolerance between both sexes. It is gratifying to be seen and appreciated as a person who can truly achieve their goals with different tactics than a man could apply. Women have a way of doing things and we have the ability to earn the same respect that men get.
Let's celebrate, Ladies Worldwide!
