Formula for Life
"We must let go of the life we planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us" Joseph Campbell - famous American mythologist (March 26th, 1904 - Oct. 30th, 1987).
This past weekend I attended a service at Church by the Glades - a church I have grown to love. The themed of the service evolved around one main detail: one life.
Pastor David explaining the formula |
Basically, the idea elaborated with the detail that we only get one shot to live once. That this one life we get can be blessed with abundance, that it can be amazing, that it can be blessed, that it can be powerful, and that it can be lived purposefully.
As Pastor David explained, there must be a formula to follow in order to have this complete life. First part of this formula is one relationship that we always need to have present: our relationship with God. Second, we as human beings need one vision in our lives. A great & wholesome purpose that we want to leave by. Finally, we need one map to guide us through our journey in life. That great map is the Bible - which is a key instrument to learn from and understand life better.
In order to really obtain that one life promised by God, we must follow the formula given. We can't make a plan without having this formula in mind and, as we fit this formula in our lives, a great plan is given to us.
What do you think about this formula?
